Areas We Support
Speech Sound Disorders
Is your child difficult to understand? Have they been struggling with the same sound errors for a long time? We provide personalized therapy utilizing various approaches for articulation, phonological, and motor speech disorders, inclduing apraxia of speech, to build clear, confident communication.
Pediatric Feeding Disorders
Does your child have a limited diet or have difficulty with mealtimes? Using a responsive feeding approach, we help picky eaters and children with sensory or motor needs build a safe, happy, and positive relationship with new foods in the context of family mealtime.
Myofunctional Disorders
Does your child snore or rely on mouth breathing throughout the day? Orofacial myofunctional therapy addresses oral muscle function to support tongue posture, lip seal, chewing and swallowing skills. Collaboration with other professionals, such as ENTs and dentists, is often an important part of this treatment.

How It Works
Consult Call
A complimentary 15-minute phone consultation to determine whether our services align with your child’s unique needs and goals.
Comprehensive Evaluation
A comprehensive evaluation is conducted to understand your child’s communication needs and strengths. This detailed process helps us establish goals and frequency of service. Please note that an evaluation must be completed if your child has no previous assessments or diagnoses, or if an evaluation has not been completed in the past 6 months. Evalutions include a written report.
One-on-One Treatment Session
We offer personalized speech therapy sessions for your little ones. Feeding therapy can begin as early as 6 months of age while speech, apraxia, and myofunctional services typically focus on children aged 4 and up. Session length and frequency will be adjusted based on your child’s needs. The final portion of session is dedicated to caregiver guidance.
Payment & Insurance
South Pasadena Speech is a private pay practice. Payment is due at the time of service. We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as HSA/FSA cards. Upon request, a superbill can be provided for families to submit to their insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursment.
Some insurance plans require a physician’s referral or prescription for speech therapy in order to consider reimbursement. Please check with your child’s pediatrician and your insurance provider to confirm what is needed for your specific plan.
