South Pasadena Speech was founded by Julie Murphy, MA, CCC-SLP, a nationally certified and California-licensed speech-language pathologist. Julie provides therapeutic services in the areas of speech sound, feeding, and myofunctional disorders and is deeply committed to supporting children and their families.
After six years serving students in the public school setting, Julie shifted to private practice. Through South Pasadena Speech, she aims to offer families more personalized, flexible care tailored to each child’s unique needs.
South Pasadena Speech provides a warm, nurturing environment where children feel seen, heard, and supported. Julie partners closely with families, offering clear guidance and practical strategies so progress continues at home and in the community.

Consult Call
A complimentary 15-minute phone consultation to determine whether our services align with your child’s unique needs and goals.
Comprehensive Evaluation
A comprehensive evaluation is conducted to understand your child’s communication needs and strengths. This detailed process helps us establish goals and frequency of service. Please note that an evaluation must be completed if your child has no previous assessments or diagnoses, or if an evaluation has not been completed in the past 6 months. Evalutions include a written report.
One-on-One Treatment Session
Individual therapy sessions tailored to your child’s specific needs. Services are primarily designed for children ages four and up. Session length and frequency will be adjusted based on your child’s needs. The final portion of session is dedicated to caregiver guidance.
